The uncertainty regarding the advance of the Coronavirus pandemic around the world is forcing everyone to reschedule agendas.
The constant work on the part of the organizers of the legendary Cannes Film Festival to set a new date is at a crossroads, and therefore, the definitive cancellation of the event is an option.
The Cannes Film Festival faced with a difficult decision
It seems that the 73rd edition of the legendary French festival will be rescheduled for next year.
The French president, Emmanuel Macron, recently extended lockdown until May 11, which leaves the organization with little leeway.
Thierry Frémaux, the person in charge of the festival, has not yet spoken about this new measure, but he had stated that holding the event virtually was completely ruled out.
In addition, the extension of the lockdown overlaps the event with other meetings, such as The Venice Film Festival that takes place in August.
