Natalie Portman (Jackie) was born on June 9, 1981, in Jerusalem, Israel. The daughter of a fertility doctor and a housewife, she moved with her family to the United States when she was only three years old.
From a very young age, she enrolled in dance classes, participated in a few plays directed by local dance companies, and took part in several theater camps. After several attempts, Natalie Portman got her first leading role at the age of 13 in Léon, a film directed by Luc Besson (Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets).
After her film debut, she continued to hone her career through various projects such as Mars Attacks!,Anywhere But Here, and Where the Heart Is. Later, she obtained international recognition through the Star Wars saga, created by George Lucas.
One of her latest films was Jackie, which earned her nominations for a SAG Award, an Academy Award, the Golden Globe, and the BAFTA Award for Best Actress. Directed by Pablo Larrain (Spencer), the film tells the story of First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, who must struggle with grief and trauma to regain her faith, comfort her children, and define the historic legacy of her husband, John F. Kennedy.
